Brahmaeidae
(Brahmin Moths)
A spectacular family of moths found in the African and Oriental tropics extending north into the warmer Palaearctic. At present only four genera can be recognized: Brahmaea, the major Oriental and Palaearctic genus.
​
The larvae feed on Ligustrum, Syringa, Fraxinus species.
Wingspan: ranges up to 200 mm
